FENDER to Launch New Offset Guitar, “The Meteora”

Fender - The Meteora

Gear News reports that Fender is set to unveil a new limited-edition offset guitar called the Meteora at this year’s NAMM convention.

Looking as a mixture of Jazzmaster and Telecaster, the six-string is loaded with Custom Shop Vintage-Style Tele and Twisted Tele single-coil pickups, also packing a 25.5-inch-scale maple neck with American Vintage ’65 Jazzmaster profile and black block inlays.

Other features include an ash body, a bone nut, Deluxe staggered tuners, as well as an American Professional Tele bridge with compensated brass saddles.

The source also reports:

Each guitar has a Limited Edition micro-tilt neck plate to let you know its a special run and there is a Fender Elite guitar case available for it as well. There are no official details on Fender’s own site yet, but it is already appearing on Fender dealer websites, so you may be able to place orders for one by now.

The guitar should be priced around $2,100.
